i went to the emergency room at the beginning of september because i had gradually increasing pain for about 2 months. i ended up getting diagnosed with acute prostatitis and given 6 weeks of antibiotics. the pain had been getting worse and i thought maybe because i wasn't as active as i was used to at my old job. i applied for some jobs and started one on the first of september. it required minimal lifting and one day of it made my pain increase significantly. it constantly hurt around my tailbone area and felt like i was sitting on a golfball. i've finished the antibiotics but some of the pain still remains. i have a follow-up appointment with a urologist in december. being consistently in pain or uncomfortable at best has had a pretty negative impact on my mental health. it was what pushed me to finally get back on some meds after 5 years of not being on anything but atarax. i hope to get some sort of resolution at the urologist cause this has been a pretty miserable month.
